Brief
iACTforDGBI is an innovative web-based platform designed to help patients manage the symptoms related with Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI). The iACT platform provides step-by-step support that includes exercises and educational materials for daily living. iACT was developed in collaboration with a scientific academic research team from the Örebro University in Sweden, and aims to assess the effectiveness of specific interventions by comparing the results of treated patients with a control group. From design to deployment, every piece of the platform was developed by our team to ensure it aligns with the project’s research goals and patient needs.
Our strategy
RedLight worked closely with the client to design and develop a comprehensive, user-friendly web platform. The core of the platform is a step-by-step educational course that delivers both instructional content and interactive exercises to assist patients in managing their DGBI symptoms. Our approach focused on creating an intuitive user experience, ensuring that the platform is accessible for a wide range of patients, including those with varying levels of digital literacy. To support the research team’s objectives, we integrated data collection tools to track patient progress and allow for comparison between the intervention and control groups The platform was developed with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and compliance with healthcare and GDPR regulations, ensuring that it could support a growing number of users over time.
The Results
iACTforDGBI has successfully provided patients with a structured and accessible tool to manage their DGBI symptoms. The platform’s educational course and exercises have proven to be effective in improving daily life for patients by offering practical, step-by-step guidance. The research team is now able to track patient progress and compare results with the control group, enabling them to assess the efficacy of the interventions, while also serving as a valuable tool for academic research in the field of gastrointestinal health.
